Garlic Pretzels
Pretzels have been enjoyed for centuries and were originally created by European monks as a reward for children who learned their prayers.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 40 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, warm water, sugar, salt, melted butter, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large pot, bring the boiling water and baking soda to a boil.

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a rope shape.

Twist each rope into a pretzel shape and dip it into the boiling water mixture for 30 seconds.

Remove the pretzels from the water using a slotted spoon and place them on a greased baking sheet.

Sprinkle the pretzels with coarse salt.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
