  1. Crush the chocolate wafer cookies into fine crumbs.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed cookies, sweetened condensed milk, rum, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully combined.
  3. If desired, stir in chopped nuts.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the mixture to firm up.
  5. Once chilled, remove the mixture from the refrigerator and shape into small balls using your hands.
  6. Roll the balls in cocoa powder or powdered sugar for coating.
  7. Place the fudge rum balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Return the balls to the refrigerator and let them rest for another 1 hour.
  9. Serve chilled and enjoy!
