The Grasshopper Pie was popularized in the 1950s and 1960s and gets its name from the vibrant green color resembling a grasshopper.

In a bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Gradually add the crème de menthe liqueur, crème de cacao liqueur, and green food coloring to the cream cheese mixture, mixing well.

Fold in the whipped cream.

Pour the mixture into the prepared crust and smooth the top.

Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Before serving, garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
