  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  6. Fold in the diced strawberries.
  7. Divide the batter evenly among lined cupcake tins.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
  10. To make the frosting, blend the powdered sugar and sliced strawberries until smooth.
  11. Frost the cooled cupcakes with the strawberry frosting.
  12. Garnish with additional sliced strawberries, if desired.
