Fondant Fancies
Fondant fancies, also known as French fancies, were first introduced in the United Kingdom by Mr. Kipling in 1967 and quickly became a popular treat.

Cut the sponge cake into small cubes.

In a bowl, cream the butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy.

Add water to the butter mixture and mix well.

Take each cake cube and dip it in the butter mixture, then coat it with jam.

Place the coated cake cubes on a wire rack and let them rest for 30 minutes.

Roll out the fondant icing and cut it into squares slightly larger than the cake cubes.

Place each cake cube on top of a fondant square and wrap the fondant around it.

Decorate the fondant fancies with sprinkles or other decorations.

Let the fondant fancies rest for another 30 minutes before serving.
