  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a financier mold.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat and cook until it turns golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine hazelnut flour, powdered sugar, all-purpose flour, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until frothy. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. Add the cooled brown butter and vanilla extract to the batter and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared mold and top with sliced figs and chopped hazelnuts.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until the financiers are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the mold for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
