Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.

In a bowl, mix together farina, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.

Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the bars to cool in the baking dish for 30 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
