Eggnog Scones

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Cut the butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggnog, egg, vanilla extract, and ground nutmeg.

Pour the eggnog mixture into the flour mixture and stir until just combined.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until it comes together.

Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick circle and cut it into 8 wedges.

Place the scones onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
