Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Melt the butter, sugar, and golden syrup in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth.

Bring the mixture to a boil and let it cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cashews.

Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking tray and spread it evenly.

Sprinkle sea salt over the toffee.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.

Score the toffee into desired shapes while it is still warm.
