Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and white chocolate separately in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Sift in the all-purpose flour and cornstarch, then fold gently until combined.
  5. Divide the batter into two bowls. Add melted dark chocolate to one bowl and melted white chocolate to the other. Stir until well combined.
  6. Pour the dark chocolate batter onto one side of the prepared baking sheet and the white chocolate batter onto the other side.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cake is set.
  8. Meanwhile, prepare the white chocolate custard. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  9. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and a little bit of milk until smooth.
  10. Gradually whisk the cornstarch mixture into the hot milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until the custard thickens.
  11. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  12. Transfer the custard to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let it cool completely.
  13. Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  14. Carefully transfer the cake onto a clean kitchen towel.
  15. Spread the white chocolate custard evenly over the cake.
  16. Arrange the sliced strawberries on top of the custard.
  17. Starting from one end, carefully roll up the cake using the kitchen towel to help.
  18. Place the rolled cake on a serving platter and dust with powdered sugar.
  19. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  20. Slice and serve chilled.
