Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture and mix until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Gently fold in the fresh cranberries.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups. Sprinkle the tops with turbinado sugar.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
