Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.

In a large bowl, combine cranberries, sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.

Pour the fruit mixture into the pie crust.

Dot the top of the filling with small pieces of butter.

Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Trim and seal the edges.

Beat the egg and brush it over the top crust.

Make several slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
