  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Pour the egg mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the corn batter into the hot oil and flatten slightly with the back of a spoon.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
