Coconut Macaroons
Coconut macaroons are a popular Passover dessert because they don’t contain leavening agents.
This is vegetarian and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 45 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 6.

Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).

In a bowl, mix the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.

Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the coconut mixture.

Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the macaroons are golden brown.

Optional: Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Drizzle or dip the macaroons in the melted chocolate.

Let the macaroons cool for 10 minutes before serving.
