Chocolate Surprise Cupcakes
The first cupcakes were actually baked in teacups, which is how they got their name.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 50 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 13.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

Gradually add the hot water to the batter, mixing until smooth.

Fill each cupcake liner halfway with batter. Place a tablespoon of surprise filling in the center of each cupcake, then cover with more batter until the liners are about 3/4 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the cupcakes cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cupcakes are cooled, pipe or spread chocolate ganache on top of each cupcake.
