S’mores are a popular campfire treat in the United States, and these muffins capture the flavors of a classic s’more in a convenient handheld form.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.

Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs, mini marshmallows, and chocolate chips on top of each muffin.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
