Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped pretzel twists and chocolate chips.

Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press a few additional pretzel pieces and chocolate chips onto the tops of each cookie.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
