Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.

Stir in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.

Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
