Break the matzoh crackers into small pieces and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.

Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the matzoh pieces, spreading it evenly.

Sprinkle chopped nuts (if using) over the chocolate.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the chocolate is bubbly and golden.
