  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add the vegetable oil, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the cocoa powder and hot water until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon half of the chocolate mixture over the banana batter. Use a knife to gently swirl the chocolate into the batter.
  6. Repeat with the remaining banana batter and chocolate mixture, swirling again with a knife.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
