Cheesecake is believed to have originated in ancient Greece and was served to athletes during the first Olympic games.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Crush the chocolate cookies and mix with melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and instant coffee powder.
  4. Chop the hazelnuts and dark chocolate into small pieces and fold them into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture over the crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes until set. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  8. Before serving, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan and decorate with whipped cream, hazelnuts, and grated dark chocolate.
