  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the crust.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth.
  6. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cherry pie filling.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped almonds over the chocolate drizzle.
  8. Crumble the remaining flour mixture over the top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for 30 minutes before cutting into bars.
