  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Add melted butter, granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
