  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush pretzels and mix with melted butter and sugar. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over the cooled pretzel crust.
  3. Dissolve cherry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in frozen cherries and cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Pour over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set. Cut into squares and serve chilled.
