Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.

Add the broccoli florets to the pot and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender.

Using an immersion blender or regular blender, puree the soup until smooth.

Return the soup to the pot and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
