PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese was first made in New York in 1872, but it was named after the city of Philadelphia because of its reputation for high-quality dairy products.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cut in the butter and PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg. Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for 1-2 minutes.

Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter.
