Caramelized Onion Macaroni and Cheese

Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir well. Cook for another 2 minutes.

Slowly pour in the milk while stirring constantly. Cook until the mixture thickens.

Add the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese. Stir until melted and smooth.

Season with salt and black pepper.

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.

Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top.
