  1. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  2. In a separate bowl, melt the white chocolate in the same way.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted dark chocolate, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and half of the crushed candy canes. Mix well.
  4. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set.
  5. Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and shape into small truffle balls.
  6. Dip each truffle ball into the melted white chocolate and coat evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining crushed candy canes on top of each truffle.
  8. Place the truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.
  9. Dust the truffles with powdered sugar before serving.
