Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a large bowl, cream together the browned butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the sour cream, vanilla extract, ground ginger, and ground cinnamon.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped pecans.
