Steam the broccoli until tender and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix together the cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.

Add the steamed broccoli to the mixture and stir until well combined.

Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.

In a small bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and melted butter.
