Napoleons are named after Napoleon Bonaparte, but they are not of French origin. They were actually created in Russia and were named in honor of the French emperor.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 105 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 4.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cut the puff pastry sheets into 3 equal rectangles.

Place the pastry rectangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.

Once cooled, slice each rectangle in half horizontally.

Spread whipped cream on the bottom halves of the pastry rectangles.

Top with sliced strawberries.

Place the top halves of the pastry rectangles on the strawberries.

Dust with powdered sugar.

Allow the napoleons to rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
