Blueberry Scones
Scones originated in Scotland and were originally made with oats and cooked on a griddle.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 45 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 8.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Cut the cold butter into small cubes and add it to the dry ingredients. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, mix together the milk and vanilla extract. Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.

Gently fold in the fresh blueberries.

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until it comes together. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick circle.

Cut the dough into 8 equal wedges and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the scones are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving.
