Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine blueberries, lemon juice, cornstarch, and granulated sugar. Stir until well coated.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add milk and vanilla extract to the flour mixture. Stir until just combined.

Spread the blueberry mixture evenly in a baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of the dough mixture on top of the blueberries.
