  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the melted butter and sugar. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and milk, and mix until well combined.
  5. Add the wet ingredients to the mashed bananas and stir until just combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
