  1. Drain and rinse the kidney beans.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add chopped bell pepper and cook until softened.
  5. Stir in the cumin powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper powder.
  6. Add the kidney beans and diced tomatoes. Mix well.
  7. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
