In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas.

Add the oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nuts, and brown sugar to the bowl. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, egg, vanilla extract, and milk.

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
