  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  6. Mix in the mashed bananas and plain yogurt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  8. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  9. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Remove from the oven and let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  12. Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
