Armenian Nazook
Nazook is a traditional Armenian pastry that is often enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 80 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.

In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.

Add the sour cream, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

Divide the dough into two equal parts and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out one portion of the dough into a rectangle shape.

Spread half of the ground walnuts evenly over the dough.

Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the longer side, to form a log.

Repeat steps 7-9 with the remaining dough and walnuts.

Cut the logs into 1-inch thick slices and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the tops of the slices with milk and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.

Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Allow the nazook to cool for a few minutes before serving.
