In a food processor, combine the apricots and orange zest. Process until smooth.

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, unsalted butter, and salt. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
