Apple-Raisin Breakfast Bread Pudding

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.

Cut the bread into cubes and spread half of them in the baking dish.

Peel and chop the apples. Sprinkle half of the chopped apples and raisins over the bread cubes.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Pour half of the milk mixture over the bread, apples, and raisins in the baking dish.

Layer the remaining bread cubes, chopped apples, and raisins on top.

Pour the remaining milk mixture over the layers.

Dot the top with small pieces of butter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the pudding is golden brown and set.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
