In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, apple pie spice, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chopped apple and walnuts.

Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
