Almond Joy Challah
Challah is a traditional Jewish bread often enjoyed on Shabbat and other holidays. Adding almonds, coconut, and chocolate to the challah dough gives it a delightful twist, reminiscent of the popular candy bar, Almond Joy.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 180 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

Add warm water, eggs, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a rectangle.

Sprinkle almonds, shredded coconut, and chocolate chips evenly over the dough.

Starting from one long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log.

Transfer the rolled dough to a greased baking sheet and shape it into a round loaf.

Cover the loaf with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for another 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the challah for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
