Danish Pastry Cinnamon Rolls
Danish pastries were brought to Denmark by Austrian bakers in the 19th century and have since become a popular breakfast treat in Danish cuisine.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

Heat milk and butter in a small saucepan until butter is melted. Let it cool slightly.

Add the milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients. Stir until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape.

In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the dough.

Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the long side. Cut into 12 equal pieces.

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and water to make the glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls.
