Cranberry Breakfast Pretzels
Pretzels have been around for centuries and were originally created by monks in Europe as a reward for children who learned their prayers.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 45 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Add dried cranberries to the dough and knead until evenly distributed.

Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add baking soda and stir until dissolved.

Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a long rope and twist into a pretzel shape.

Carefully dip each pretzel into the boiling water mixture for 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Sprinkle pretzels with coarse salt.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter.
