Balsamic Onion and Cheese Picks
Balsamic vinegar is made from the reduction of cooked grape must, and it adds a unique tangy-sweet flavor to dishes.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice the red onions into thin rounds.

In a bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and fresh thyme.

Add the sliced onions to the bowl and toss to coat them well.

Let the onions marinate for 10 minutes.

Place the marinated onions on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the onions are caramelized.

Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Cut the mozzarella and parmesan cheese into small cubes.

Skewer each caramelized onion round with a toothpick, followed by a cube of mozzarella cheese and a cube of parmesan cheese.

Serve the balsamic onion and cheese picks as a delicious appetizer.
