The Ideal Chocolate Chip Cookies
The chocolate chip cookie was invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938. She added chopped up chunks of a Nestle semi-sweet chocolate bar into her cookie dough, expecting the chocolate to melt and create an all-chocolate cookie. Instead, the chocolate pieces retained their shape and the chocolate chip cookie was born!
