  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Heat the milk and butter in a small saucepan until warm.
  3. Add the warm milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  8. Shape each piece into a roll and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  9. Cover and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  11. Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
