White Chocolate Bread Pudding and Rum Sauce

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

Cut the white bread into cubes and place them in the prepared baking dish.

In a saucepan, heat the milk, heavy cream, and sugar over medium heat until hot but not boiling. Remove from heat.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract. Slowly pour the hot milk mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.

Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes in the baking dish. Press down gently to ensure the bread is soaked.

In a small saucepan, melt the white chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the rum.
