  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced strawberries and sugar. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Cut in the butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Add milk and stir until just combined.
  7. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times.
  8. Roll out the dough to about 1/2-inch thickness and cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter.
  9. Place the rounds onto a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow the biscuits to cool slightly.
  11. To assemble, split the biscuits in half.
  12. Spoon some strawberries onto the bottom half of each biscuit.
  13. Top with a dollop of whipped cream.
  14. Place the other half of the biscuit on top.
  15. Serve and enjoy!
