In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.

Pour the butter and sugar mixture over the crackers, spreading it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot crackers. Let it sit for a few minutes until the chocolate chips melt, then spread the melted chocolate evenly.

Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the melted chocolate.

Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and let it rest for 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.

Once set, break the toffee crackers into smaller pieces.
